Little Bee discussion

Did anyone else think that Lawrence might have told Charlie to hide in the drain pipe during the scene when he ran away? Maybe he thought the police would be called and Little Bee found so that was his way to get rid of her without having to go directly to the police himself or maybe he just wanted to be the hero for Sarah (he was the one who found Charlie right).

There was so much implying that Lawrence might be sinister in the pages leading up to that scene that my initial thought was actually that Lawrence had killed Charlie by pushing him into the river.

I thought the same thing!

I didn't think that, but I wouldn't put it past him! He was my least favorite character in this book.

wow didn't think of that but that makes a lot of sense....lawerence is an ass I couldn't stand him
