Read a book with a horse or a bench on the cover OR where horses are part of the story. Please post the cover.
Outlander, Diana Gabaldon, 14.11.2017 - many horses in the story

✔Ferris Wheel - is a non-building structure consisting of a rotating upright wheel with multiple passenger-carrying components attached to the rim in such a way that as the wheel turns, they are kept upright, usually by gravity. The original Ferris Wheel was designed and constructed by George Washington Gale Ferris Jr. as a landmark for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago.
Read a book with a character that is a designer or in construction OR set in Chicago.
Fool Moon, Jim Butcher, 22.11.2017 - set in Chicago

✔Frog Hopper is a exciting mini-drop tower attraction built just for the little ones! The passengers are vertically lifted up and "hopped" down to their descent.
Read a book where a character has ups and downs OR with a prominent child character.
Seelendunkel, Rebecca Drake, 31.10.2017 - Sophia is an important child character.

✔Pirate ship is a type of amusement ride, consisting of an open, seated gondola (usually in the style of a pirate ship) which swings back and forth, subjecting the rider to various levels of angular momentum.
Read a book with a character whose first or last name starts with a P or S.
Carry On, Rainbow Rowell, 05.11.2017 - MC is Simon Snow.

The Graveyard Book, Neil Gaiman, 26.11.2017

✔The Tilt-A-Whirl is a platform-type ride, consisting of seven freely-spinning cars that hold three or four riders each, which are attached at fixed pivot points on a rotating platform. As the platform rotates, parts of the platform are raised and lowered, with the resulting centrifugal and gravitational forces on the cars cause them to spin in different directions and at variable speeds.
Read a book with a four or five letter word in the title.
Through the Zombie Glass, Gena Showalter, 29.10.2017

✔Windjammer is a unique hang gliding attraction that features seats attached to hang gliding kites. As the center of the ride rotates, the kites raise and lower with a gentle motion.
Read a book whose title starts with a W.
When You Reach Me, Rebecca Stead, 25.01.2018

✔Zipper A long, rotating, oval boom with a cable around its edge that pulls 12 cars around the ride. The original models of the Zipper garnered a reputation for being unsafe due to their rough nature, and a series of deaths on the rides in the late 1970s after cabin doors came unlatched led to a series of revisions, primarily restructuring of the door lock system.
Read a book set in the 1970s OR where a death occurs. Tell us how the person dies.
The Queen of Zombie Hearts, Gena Showalter, 30.10.2017 - Trina and Lucas are killed during the attack of Anima Industries.

Thank you so much for this great challenge! This was nothing but pleasure and fun, what a ride! So I read ten books (3405 pages): three books (902 pages) in Finnish, four books (1545 pages) in English and three books (958 pages) in Swedish :D Because I had difficulties to find books for some tasks I got ideas from others who are reading for this challenge. OMG! I found Sawyer Bennett! Now I'm mourning because I have to buy more her books and they're hard to get here in Finland. I don't do e-books but maybe I have to reconsider that…
So thank you one more time, it was nice that it was only ten books and three months… and who wouldn't love carnivals??

I hope you find other challenges to try. Also, you do not have to show the books in English if you have read them in another language, unless you want to.

✔Carousel - is an amusement ride consisting of a rotating circular platform with seats for riders. The "seats" are traditionally in the form of rows of wooden horses or other animals mounted on posts, many of which are moved up and down by gears to simulate galloping, to the accompaniment of looped circus music.

As the platform rotates, parts of the platform are raised and lowered, with the resulting centrifugal and gravitational forces on the cars cause them to spin in different directions and at variable speeds.

✔Zipper A long, rotating, oval boom with a cable around its edge that pulls 12 cars around the ride.
