Katee Byrd | 1 comments I enjoyed reading this book as it was very engaging and interesting to read. I enjoyed reading from the perspective of middle-schooler, Moose Flanagan, and the way he described his family adjusting to life on Alcatraz and his special needs sister, Natalie. This story was well developed and the message of "you will do anything for someone you love" was heartwarming.

Alex Pluemer | 1 comments I agree! It was a very fun and interesting read! About halfway through, I really couldn't put it down. The way the author makes you laugh and cry throughout this story is pretty neat. As future teachers, I think this would be an amazing story to have your students read to teach them how to be empathetic towards students with exceptional needs. All in all, I really loved this book.

Katie Robards | 2 comments I totally agree! I thought the book was really engaging. I also agree with the message being "you will do anything for someone you love". I think that would be important in the classroom for the students to understand! This would be a good book to read with the class!

Marly Uncapher | 1 comments I also really enjoyed reading this book! The message was so great and really made you think while reading it, would I go as far as Moose did for Natalie? This would be an awesome book to read as a class and then do a character analysis.
