For this week’s Goodreads I asked a couple of family members what book recommendation. I wanted to do another good science fiction book that was pretty adventurous. The book Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment came up twice so that is what is chosen for my seventh entre. Our main characters name in this book Maximum Ride, self-given name, and is also the first book in a series of nine books. Oh, also they are average teens but have wings and can fly. We begin our story with our main character running for her life from some wolf/hybrid creatures called Erasers. She reaches a cliff stops then jumps and her wings pop out and wake from this nightmare. She heads to the kitchen as her “flock” friends wake up looking for breakfast. Later on, erasers come and attack them taking one of them called Angel hostage to place only known as the “school”. The flock makes a plan to save him, so three of them take flight but on there the way they stop to look for food and fall asleep. Waking up confused and have lost track of time the make the way to Death Valley. Max see’s a girl getting bullied so she sends the other to a location while she flies down. In a struggle, she gets shot in the shoulder but is helped by a Dr. Martinez. For an unknown reason they all had trackers but somehow they didn't know they had them. Some of the members of the decision to take on the erasers and were killed. At some 200 pages, i decide that could no longer read this book. Even though sci-fiction is my favorite genre of books I did not like this book. I feel like I just wasted my time reading it. So I do not recommend this book.
