“It'll be dangerous," Nyssa warned him. "Hardship, monsters, terrible suffering. Possibly none of you will come back alive."
"Oh." Suddenly Leo didn't look so excited. Then he remembered everyone was watching. "I mean... Oh, cool! Suffering? I love suffering! Let's do this.”
Quote from The Lost Hero.

Does anyone else feel like this series has been dragged out? I can't wait for it to end, and I'm getting annoyed. I mean, I'll read the last book (of course!), but probably just to find out who dies/who ends up with who. Also, do you know if Riordan's serious about writing a Norse series?
I know! At the same time though, I don't want to say goodbye to all the characters.
I've heard about that, but I thought it was a rumor, but that's really cool!

I don't feel like it's been dragged out. In each book, there were specific plots/plans for the characters: First two show CHB and then CJ, the third book is the whole journey for Annabeth to get Athena's statue, the fourth book is their journey through and out of the place (haha, not very descriptive but I just can't remember it right now), and the 5th will be about the final battle and the sum up of the whole series. I loved this series, though, so I really don't want it to end!
He actually had a previe of his norse series :P
