If you like mysteries with strong, smart amateur female sleuths, fiction set in present-day Appalachia, Christian fiction that's not heavily "preachy," or all of the above, native West Virginia author Heather Day Gilbert's A Murder in the Mountains series might be worth checking out. Oops! Guilt by Association actually was released yesterday, Dec. 9, not on Nov. 14.
