I am reading Magic of Time by Felix J. Palma. I am told that it is a very nice Victorian book with H.G. Wells and friends involved.
I have signed up for a Twitter read and discussion of Susan Cooper's The Dark Is Rising, starting when the book does on 20th. Excellent YA fantasy, and resonates with anyone with a birthday at that time of year.

This one? I have a copy, so I'm eager to hear what you think of it. Maybe I will read it for January's time travel theme.

That looks interesting! Going by her last name, I wonder if she's an indigenous author. Any idea?

I really enjoyed both Over Sea, Under Stone and The Dark Is Rising when I read them years ago. I have the rest of the series now, but I should probably re-read those first two before continuing.

I read On The Wings Of A Butterfly: A Story About Life And Death for another challenge. It has a talking caterpillar, so I'm counting it.
She appears to be of Asian descent.Stina wrote: "Jewels wrote: "I'm reading The Reader by Traci Chee. Thoroughly loving it. Reading is unheard of in Sefia's world."

I did finish The Girl with Ghost Eyes, and I also re-read Winnie-the-Pooh for other challenges. Chinese eyeball spirits in one and talking stuffed animals in the other, so I'd say they both count as fantasy. :-) I'm reading Red Glass right now, and it has hints of magical realism, so it may end up counting as well.
I ended up not counting Red Glass for this. But I counted Who Is Coming to Our House? and The King of the Golden River; Or, The Black Brothers: A Legend of Stiria to finish out the year.
