Savage Country is very much a western, with larger than life characters. I loved it.

I don't think so. It was just released and seems to stand alone, but he could do the same thing he did with Coal Black Horse and do a loose series, in which each stands alone, but has some connection.

A bit close to home, even with the decades of distance, The (real) people are so well drawn I am very anxious about them all. Could be my ancestors.. Wonderfully written.

It was hard to read at times but I found it amazing as well.

With my pet love in January, being the tennis, (and still recovering from the 5 hour drive home), not getting any reading done and the book is about to expire!! No matter I'm sure I can borrow it again, when the tennis is over.
