In my personal opinion the movie adaptation of divergent was terrible. The acting was poor. The plot was butchered and they left multiple things unanswered. Other than a couple of pretty faces there wasn't much to the movie.
I kinda feel like they put so much in Divergent and there isn't going to be enough to put in the next movies
They emphasized too much on her being "divergent" that was supposed to be something not many people have heard of. In the movie it was like every sentence had the word divergent in it. In the book they use that word like 7 times total.
To me, I didn't like the Divergent movie that much myself. I'm not a fan of Shailene Woodley. I missed Edward getting stabbed in the eye. I missed the bonding of Tris and Uriah. It just didn't feel like an adaptation more like a rewrite. IDK maybe after watching the movie a few times I'll like it better.
I'm going to agree with those who weren't crazy about the movie. The book was soooo good. It just wasn't the best adaptation, but that happens. Plenty of people loved it. Personally, I won't go back to see Insurgent.

Ugh, yes! I cannot get over that they left out Edward getting his eye stabbed with a butter knife(not exactly that seen, it was in the deleted scenes, but still)
I think they focused in it being too techy!! Like what was with the last scene with Tobias and Tris in the control room, it was only supposed to be then not Jeanine and a bunch of tech people!! Also I was so disappointed in the zip line!!was it not supposed to be over trees/marsh (I haven't read the hooks in awhile so please correct me if I'm wrong) but yea no Uriah? Like I don't know how they will fix the things they left out for next movie!
