I was unsure of how they'd turn a book full of letters into a movie, but they did it! I think the movie is one of the best adaptations I've seen. The cast was perfect, and there was just the right balance of humor and sadness. I went out to buy it the day it came out, and it was sold out everywhere, but hey, I guess that's what I get for living in Pittsburgh. Everyone wanted it.
Oh, and when I went to see it on release day, Stephen Chbosky himself was at the movie theater, so I got to meet him again. He signed my poster, and he actually remembered signing my book. He's awesome. And he knew by our faces that we had just gotten out of the last showing, so he let us get in line even though it was closed. He is the kindest guy ever.
