What could be better than a family vacation with your girlfriend, your father, his girlfriend and an incredibly large dog? Murder of course!

Larry Macklin is a Criminal Investigator in Florida, his father is the Sherriff and his boss. While on vacation in a different county (that neither have jurisdiction over) a dead body practically floats to their front…or beach access door. Larry and his father don’t want to be involved, but they find themselves submersed in the case because the local law enforcement wants and needs their help. While they quietly investigate more bodies start dropping and they find themselves at odds with jurisdictional in-fighting and on the verge of being arrested for obstruction of justice.

Like all the Larry Macklin stories (I’ve read them all and loved them, 5 stars all the way), this is fast paced, full of twists and turns and well worth the read. As always with series books, I highly recommend starting with book 1 and working your way through, this series is great and I usually plow through the books in two days or less, very hard to put down.

Typically I receive books for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review, however this is a verified purchase. See all our reviews at our Book Explosions page on Goodreads.
