2018 Books!! discussion

I'm all about supporting new authors or finding an unexpected gem of a book! My most recent discovery has been Kindle Unlimited - Its given me the opportunity to find and read books that I'd never thought about before! If you find a new author, new series, or new genre that you love - post it here so we can all discover it!

I read my first Kindle Unlimited borrowed book over Christmas. It was just a fluffy Christmas romance, but the idea of having a quick digital library was fun. I was able to download another book for free by the same author Wanda E. Brunstetter. Since I read Kindle on my smartphone, it's nice to have a few books there when I want them.

i prefer dead authors as most of their work (especially those of the serial kind) are one and done (notable exceptions include, but are not limited to, robert jordan, robert ludlum, michael crichton, and stieg larsson)

not really a NEW discovery but i'm finishing up (what i've acquired, at least) dorothy gilman's works;
i got acquainted with her mrs pollifax books reading reader's digest condensed books back in the '90s
