Brilliant Books You've Never Heard Of discussion

What are your first thoughts of the book?

I have seen this book on Kindle for three different prices over the last three weeks. It was originally on sale for $0.99. I should have bought it then. It went up to $8.99 after that.

Today I see that it is $4.99 on Kindle, so I'm going to grab it quick before it goes back up!

I am on page 40 - Impression so far- good, but not brilliant.
But there is certainly enough going on to keep me interested.

About halfway through; so far, it feels a bit like a string of stories an old college mate might tell when you meet up for a drink after a decade apart. The writing felt a bit rough at the edges at first, but it's settled in.

I'm ten chapters in and laughing my butt off! Fast read. Not sure where its headed, but I'm in the for the ride. Haven't read a book this funny in a while. I probably shouldn't be reading this at work as I'm laughing a bit too loudly. (Got this at my library for free, but just went on Amazon to gift it to my lil bro and it was $4.99, fyi)

I'm about halfway through. I'm trying to decide if there is a message somewhere or if I should just take it at face value. There is so much crazy going on, and I can't tell if it's just for entertainment value or if there will be a point to all of it at the end.
