You have to trawl through the sign up thread Mary. Sorry, I'd do it but I'm getting ready to post the shelf & haven't got the time right at this moment.
That was easy, she was right on the first page. I sent her a message and asked her to check in so we know she's still playing. First shelf is Futuristic Romance

For Futuristic Romance I'm going with
, J.D. Robb...For Free Space I'm going to read
, Heather Graham...Good job Miss Mary...I'm nominating you as our fearless leader....:)
So..., Stacie said she joined but then later dropped out because she would have a 10 day period where she couldn't check in. I might have a week where I can't check in because I'll be in Mexico. But that's not until late July and this will likely be over.
OK I've PMd someone and asked if they want to play. No guarantees, but sadly her name isn't Thelma. LOL.
Awesome. Thenia offered to join us. I don't know if that's who you messaged. But we'll welcome whomever you find for us.
Hello team! I'm happy to join you all for this round of BSB, but for the first little while I might not be very present. I've got a couple of flights ahead of me and a move to a different continent, which will take up most of my time for the foreseeable future.I will catch up on my books as soon as possible and will check in with you all at least once a week, even if just to say that I've made no progress... Apologies about that in advance.
Enjoy your books!
Thanks for joining us Thenia. No worries, you aren't behind. The game only started on Wed. Thanks for the heads up that you might be scarce for a bit.
I don't tend to worry about everyone's progress until we get to the point where we could possibly get a bingo. Then I'll turn into a drill sergeant.
Finished my FreeSpace book. Haven't even started my futuristic romance book.

Heather Graham is a guilty pleasure of mine, mainly because of love ghost stories and that's her main focus. The books are pretty predictable but they make very entertaining audio books and are quick easy reads. I saw who the killer was going to be a mile away. As a Massachusetts native, I really enjoyed that this one was set in Salem, which MA school children study in depth in school here. I just have to be careful and not read too many of her books in a row.
I've been traveling for what seems like days and just arrived in Vancouver yesterday, so I haven't really had any time to read unfortunately.I'm thinking I'll read Festive in Death for futuristic romance, but no idea about the Free Space one yet.

This was not a favorite book in the series but I still liked it. I missed Peabody & McNabb it seemed like Dallas & Roark kept working on the situations by themselves so there was not much interaction with the others. This book took place in New York City - Eve & Nadine meet in a club that just so happens to be owned by none other, Roark. A gossip columnist is murdered in the club & that sets off a chain of events that no one sees coming. I pretty much figured out who had committed the murder(s) before it was ever actually solved but that was ok. I'm hoping the next book will feature Mavis & family along with Peabody & McNabb. Looking forward to reading the next book soon
Good morning. I'm plugging away at my Futuristic Romance book. It's good, I just only have it in Ebook and don't have as much sit and read time as I used to have.
For immortals I shall read:
. I have this one on audio.

It's been a while since I read the first book in this series and it took a couple of chapters for me to pick up the story. I found this to be a quick read with the story moving quite quickly. With America's constant indecision over her feelings towards Maxon and Aspen it was nice to bring in her father's opinion. The twist at the end was a good one and showed that not everything is always as it seems, and now that America had finally made a decision it will be good to see how she overcomes the new obstacle to her winning the crown. I will need to get to the next in the series sooner rather than later.
Shelf #1 ~ 7/3/18: Futuristic Romance
Festive in Death - J.D. Robb ~ ★★★★ (18/03/18)Another case for Eve, this time involving a victim that turns out to be an awful excuse of a human being. He was a personal trainer who was attractive, a complete narcissist and (view spoiler).
That doesn't make Eve less determined to find the killer and solve the case, but it makes her suspect list quite long. Among that list, there are (view spoiler).
A less stressful case than the ones Eve usually works, but one that helped her appreciate her and Roarke's love once again. It is satisfying seeing Eve interact with her ever growing circle of loved ones and being happy with Roarke.
Their next adventure comes in Obsession in Death, where a killer leaves Eve a personal message at a crime scene.

Thanks Thenia! How is your trip going?I will try to finish my Futuristic romance book ASAP so we can get the stamp.
I've managed to find a room and I'm now trying to settle in. I'm veeery slowly unpacking so I'm trying to find an audiobook that fits the other two shelves to listen to while I do that...
Shelf: Futuristic Romance:
3 1/2 stars
I didn't like this one as much as the earlier ones in the series. But that might be due to having gone too long between reading them. I did like the whole out of body stuff. Although to me, evolving so that I no longer needed my body would not be something I'd want like the superior alien beings suggest in this. Half the fun of being alive is having a body to experience physical sensations. But anyway, this was a short, fun read.
ETA: cover pet-peeve of mine. The heroine in the book has short, curly, black hair and not long red hair like on the cover. I hate it when they do that.

I really am enjoying this series. The Krewe of Hunters are in NYC & they are trying to piece together the mystery surrounding the deaths of several women which unfortunately are mimicking Jack the Ripper. Jude Crosby is settled with the task of solving the murders & Whitney Tremont as a member of the paranormal team are working together to solve the crimes. I had part of the murder solved but i missed a few details. I thought the chemistry in this one was just as good as the prior 2 books. I'm hoping to read book #4 soon.
