I hope readers will share how they try to find books they loved or old illustrations and vintage reads. I like to trawl the libray discards bin - I often find treasures there, charity shops are useful to. Though my latest "aha!" moment was thanks to an old vhs tape. The inside cover was advertising related products and one was a book I had been looking for for a while.
If it's not on my bookshelf, I check the closet. If it's not there, I check the library. I have a visual memory so when I see a book I know if it's one I've read (usually). If it's not at the library easily found, I check here on other people's reviews and lists. There's also the rare book room at a local used book shop. Apparently some books my elementary school library (a very old school) had are now rare.
