One of the great things about Goodreads is the ability to categorize books by placing them on multiple bookshelves. In the Duffer’s Drift Reading Club we have already have many shelves ranging from time period or conflict (WWI, WWII, Crimea, etc) or subject matter (Leaders, COIN, SOF, technology).
Don’t see a shelf that adequately categorizes your book? Create your own! You can also create your own to encourage more members of the group to add books that fit into that category.
For example I just created a shelf called “General’s with Moustaches.” My fiancée was giving me the gears for having too many books about generals with moustaches so I made it a category of its own. On this shelf I can place books about Slim, Haig, Byng, Monash, Kitchener, Burnside, Genghis Khan, or any other general with a great duster.
I have two questions for the group:
1. Which Generals would you like to see added to the “Generals with Moustaches” group?
2. What other bookshelf categories would you like to see?
