Book One Description: 16 year old Eden Matthews has been in and out of private schools for the last two years. She can't seem to stop herself from closing them down. Kingsley is her last chance to finish high school and the last private school willing to accept her.

To top it off, she is being hunted by men who want to kill Kiran and her best friend Lilly is taken away to a foreign prison. And I don't understand why they are now basing their entire strategy on the feelings of a 16 year old stupid girl. Eden really is a love sick hormonal teenager - what are they thinking? Why can't she see that if she is even a little attracted to someone else that maybe her "destiny" with Kiran isn't what she thinks. If she continues to be a love sick idiot, I might have to duck out of the series.

I like his approach of being completely upfront with her about that, even if it painted Kiran in a good light and was counter to Jericho's hopes for their relationship. (hide spoiler)]
Ch 18 - (view spoiler)[ Yeah right, she is never going to kill him. I think healing him was the right thing to do, but I don't buy into her hatred of him anymore. In fact, I think if she is going to really set herself apart from the monarchy, she needs to be benevolent, not vengeful. If she wants the people in the kingdom to start to think differently, then she needs to be different! (hide spoiler)]
Ch 28 - (view spoiler)[ And there is the seduction that we've been expecting for 2 books. I wondered when Kiran would just try to sleep with her - a bed in a tent, really? At least she got out of there, though now we have to hear about her indecisive heart AGAIN. I'm getting tired of it. (hide spoiler)]

She felt manipulated by all the people in the resistance, but then just let Gabriel manipulate her into this course of action (even if I agree it was the right move). I guess now we get to see how she does as a prisoner and hopefully will get to figure out what Kiran's motives really are. He confuses me - sometimes he's good and sometimes he seems like his father's son. (hide spoiler)]

No worries! I've been listening in the car a lot the last few days, so I'm ahead. This is the only audio series I have until the middle of the month too, so it's getting my full attention.

Ch 11 (26%) - (view spoiler)[ Yeah, right Eden, "pretend" to love him. I'm starting to wonder what it is going to take for her to 1) forgive him and 2) admit she still loves him. Is he going to have to be close to death again? Is he going to get kidnapped or go missing? Wake up, Eden! I know, I know, I've been on team Jericho for the last couple of books, but Kiran is growing on me. He's showing himself to be more worthy of his role as a future king and of her. Aren't oracles supposed to be able to tell the future, or at least be really wise and stuff? I haven't seen her do any of that? She also hasn't gone through anyone's mind or dream walked in a while. Why? If she wants to see Jericho so badly, I would think she would dream walk to him every night. (hide spoiler)]

Eden has to be the most infuriating heroine I've read in a while. So fickle, so immature, so ridiculous! Oh and btw, Jericho was right - he deserves so much better! (hide spoiler)]

Can I just say that I am so relieved that the POV for this book is all Avalon so far. I wasn't sure I could take one more page of Eden. And the narrator is pretty good, I think he has a sexy Avalon voice.

Wouldn't it get all of them in one place and make them an easy target. And another thing - I get that he is lonely and finally likes a girl, but I think this divided focus is very off for his character and for a king. Put the heart on hold, Avalon, and focus on the threat. (hide spoiler)]

Yep! Book 5 is my favorite so far! I loved Avalon's POV, and the narrator did a good job bringing his character to life. On to book 6 and Jericho's story - YAY!

When the gypsy said twins after twins, etc. I thought it meant each generation would have twins, not that all these poor women would have them now.
