Any Daphne Du Maurier fans out there? discussion

This was a sci fi novella of DDM’s that I read recently. I certainly liked it. Sometimes from the words she used in this book and in the others as well I got the impression that DDM knew both the bible and the prayer book inside out to such an extent that words from there just popped out at her and hit her so she used them words liberally. It’s several times now that l’ve had that impression.
