Allison | 2127 comments So far I have Anna From Away pegged for this square. Let's see if it stands!

I really enjoyed The Town that Drowned. I think I would like to read something dealing with the Halifax explosion, any suggestions?

Allison | 2127 comments I love the novella The Glace Bay Miners' Museum: The Novel, which would fit this square. Great read!

Allison ༻hikes the bookwoods༺ (allisonhikesthebookwoods) | 1783 comments I’m thinking about doing that one @Allison. It’s been on my list since you last sang its praises in this group!

Allison | 2127 comments Well I’ll warn you. It’s a quirky and weird little book. But the ending makes it all worth it. 😃

Gail Amendt | 136 comments @Susan...Burden of Desire is a very good book set in Halifax at the time of the explosion. It's not specifically about the explosion, but the explosion and its aftermath figure very prominently in the story.

Allison ༻hikes the bookwoods༺ (allisonhikesthebookwoods) | 1783 comments I'm going to use The Hour of the Fox by Kurt Palka for this square. It's set in what I believe is a fictional Nova Scotia town, Sweetbarry.
