Basically most of John Green books.
The Fault In Our Stars is about this girl who has cancer and meets this guy who also has cancer and they love each other
Looking For Alaska is about this boy named Miles "Pudge" Halter's whole existence has been one big nonevent, and his obsession with famous last words has only made him crave the "Great Perhaps" (François Rabelais, poet) even more. He heads off to the sometimes crazy, possibly unstable, and anything-but-boring world of Culver Creek Boarding School, and his life becomes the opposite of safe. Because down the hall is Alaska Young. The gorgeous, clever, funny, sexy, self-destructive, screwed-up, and utterly fascinating Alaska Young, who is an event unto herself. She pulls Pudge into her world, launches him into the Great Perhaps, and steals his heart. (copy and pasted from the summary of this book on Goodreads)
Paper Towns is about another boy named Quentin Jacobsen where he has spent a lifetime loving the magnificently adventurous Margo Roth Spiegelman from afar. So when she cracks open a window and climbs into his life—dressed like a ninja and summoning him for an ingenious campaign of revenge—he follows. After their all-nighter ends, and a new day breaks, Q arrives at school to discover that Margo, always an enigma, has now become a mystery. But Q soon learns that there are clues—and they're for him. Urged down a disconnected path, the closer he gets, the less Q sees the girl he thought he knew (also copy and pasted)
An Abundance of Katherines is about this boy named Colin who is a "child prodigy" (as he calls himself) and is obsessed with loving girls named Katherine. Their named can't be spelled any other way. He is currently up to number 19. Every single, solitary one before that, has dumped Colin. When Colin goes on a road trip with his friend Hassan, he is determined with finding a therom to describe the person's chances of being in a relationship. (not copy and pasted)
I would also recommend many other books but I have to go to sleep now. More 2morrow!
They're really good. I would recommend it to anyone over the age of 11.More books that I would recommend are dystopian favorites.
Divergent is about this girl who lives in the futuristic town of Chicago and they are five factions there. Amity- that respects peace; Abnegation- that respects selflessness; Candor- that respects honesty; Dauntless- that respects bravery; and Erudite- that respects smartness. Beatrice lives in Abnegation but doesn't like it there. During the choosing ceremony (which happens when someone turns 16 and you choose to stay in your faction with your family or you choose to transfer to a different faction and abandon your family), Beatrice transfers to Dauntless and in there, she lives a life of brutal physical, mental, and emotional pain of training.
The Hunger Games is about this girl named Katniss who lives in the future America. It's called Panem and instead of states, there's Districts. There are 12 Districts that are each known for things, like agriculture, mining, luzuries, or fishing, to name a few. Katniss lives In District 12 where they are known for mining. Katniss's father died deep down in a mining thing and she lives with her mother and sister Primrose. (I would continue, but then I'd give the rest of the story away)
The Selection is sort of a mix between The Hunger Games and the Bachelor. It takes place in the future America (I forgot what it's called) and 35 girls must try to win the love of Prince Maxon.
The Giver is about how no one can see in color, everyone has the same things, there is no war, and everyone receives a job at 12. There is no money to worry about. Everyone must have 2 children-no more, no less- that are given to the parents. Welcome to Jonas's world. He gets a job called the Receiver of Memory where he meets the Giver who tells him all about the previous world.
I need to go somewhere right now, so I'll finish summarizing the rest of the books later on. Sorry!
