Too Late to Die question

It breaks my heart to admit that I am missing one of my favorite authors, the late Bill Crider, may he rest in peace. I have loved the sheriff Dan Rhodes series from book one, have collected them all to date, many of them signed.
I hate to ask this, but does anyone know of a series similar to the Dan Rhodes? If so, would you send me a recommendation? I would really appreciate it.
