10.8 - Take the Stairs
January 9th is National Take the Stairs Day. Read a book with 3 or more steps clearly visible on the cover. Steps must be the sort of structures that consist of a riser and a tread and/or are part of a staircase. Fire escapes, ladders, step stools, etc. will not work. Ex:
The Map of Lost Memories by Kim Fay The Poe Shadow by Matthew Pearl Mary Barton by Elizabeth Gaskell Heartless (Parasol Protectorate, #4) by Gail Carriger The Exiled Seven by Blake Renworth
Required: Include the cover when you post.

Any of those would work.

message 11: by Nick (new)

Nick (doily) | 3458 comments I want to make sure you see the steps on the cover. The trick of the sunlight makes them look somewhat like a ramp in the thumbnail picture (or maybe it's just my bad eyesight.)

The Saint Zita Society by Ruth Rendell

message 12: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 9041 comments not sure aboutthis one because the stairs look like they are part of the ruins he is standing on:
Scoundrel (The Blades of the Rose, #2) by Zoe Archer

My eyesight isn't all that good, either! Thankfully, Amazon lets me blow the cover up really big and I can see the steps. I'll add the book to post #2. When you post your completed task, please mention that it was approved in the help thread so the verifying moderator doesn't have to go through the squinting process again. ;-)

Ditto what I told Nick above. Hard to see, but they're there. I'll add your cover to message #2 above.

No, sorry. Even if that's what that is, the task calls for "3 or more steps clearly visible."

I can see them using Amazon. I'll add the book to post #2 but when you post your completed task, please mention that it was approved in the help thread so the verifying moderator doesn't have to go through the process again.
