Hope you have fun with this challenge for 2019, and I'm so glad that you love the challenge Julie.
I've made a really good start on this challenge. I've been focusing a lot on reading books for my other challenges, and so many of them have fit squares for this. This means I allready finished all my 'G's:G1: Winner of a Foreign Literary Prize:
Sorte Mary (Scarlet Sister Mary) by Julia Peterkin (Pulitzer Prize for Fiction 1929) Read January 2019
G2: Classic By a Female Author:
Herland by Charlotte Perkins Gilman Read February 2019
G3: Classic Non-fiction:
A Vindication of the Rights of Woman by Mary Wollstonecraft Read January-February 2019
G4: Written by Nobel Laureate:
The Children of the World by Paul von Heyse Read January 2019
G5: Book from the Group's 2019 Bookshelf
From the Earth to the Moon and 'Round the Moon by Jules Verne Read January 2019
My favourite of these were definately Herland - a solid 4 star rating from me.
I found A Vindication of the Rights of Woman quite hard to get through...
Glad to hear about Herland, Julie--I'm looking forward to that one. Great job getting a bingo already!
Bravo, Julie. I have Scarlet Sister Mary to read for my Pulitzer challenge but it is quite hard to come by a copy. What did you think of it?

I'm pretty sure it was an abridged version. I liked it fine enough, but it didn't stand out.
Congrats on your bingo! You've finished so many already! I think I've only finished four. Still a long way to go on my board :)
How'd that Colette read of yours go, Julie? I'd like to read more of her, but I'm not sure what work to pick next.

It's not one of her most wellknown books, and I chose it mainly for it's publication year (for my Women's Decade Challenge), but sometimes that's just the way you discover little gems ;-)
I managed another 'column bingo' :)B1: 18th Century or Earlier Classic:
The Castle of Otranto by Horace Walpole (1764) Read March 2019
B2: Book Chosen by the Cover:
V for Vendetta by Alan Moore Read March 2019
B3: European Classic:
Chéri by Colette Read January 2019
B4: Telegraph’s 100 Novels List:
Eugene Onegin by Alexander Pushkin Read January 2019
B5: 20th Century Classic:
The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von Arnim Read January 2019
I've had a hard time wondering what to do for the B2-square - until I realised that V for Vendetta had been 'looking' at me from my tbr-shelf for a while - so it just had to be that one :)
You are making excellent progress! Glad to hear you Cheri, because I have it on one of my personal challenges this year.
Managed a row bingo (4th row):B4: Telegraph’s 100 Novels List:
Eugene Onegin by Alexander Pushkin Read January 2019
I4: Literary Prize of Your Country:
Babettes gæstebud by Karen Blixen - (Winner of the 1952 'De Gyldne Laurbær') Read April 2019
N4: Poetry or Essay Collection
Flora och Bellona: dikter by Erik Axel Karlfeldt Read January 2019
G4: Written by Nobel Laureate:
The Children of the World by Paul von Heyse Read January 2019
O4: Classic Romance:
Rose in Bloom by Louisa May Alcott Read April 2019
Congratulations! I have yet to get a bingo, but I am one away in several directions. You've done some interesting reading.
And I'm all done - this must be a new record for me :)Favorite read - a tie between Babettes gæstebud and The Hotel New Hampshire (reread)
Least favorite read - A Vindication of the Rights of Woman - this book was very tough to get through, only reason I did was that I read it on my serial reader app
