I can't recommend Welcome to Lovecraft enough! If you like a blend of horror and fantasy, and you appreciate creative stories about families, then you won't be disappointed!

I just finished the Star Wars: Invasion series. I know, it's mostly about spaceships, lasers and aliens, but it also has quite a bit of focus on a family torn apart by the invasion. They have to fend for themselves in a war-torn galaxy, while hoping to reunite with their loved ones. The setting is at the beginning of the New Jedi Order book series.

I have started reading Blue Exorcist 1 which I'm enjoying a lot!
