This book taught me that Winter us more than just a one sided jerk, he was mean sometimes, because he was raised that way. He went through so much development in "Winter Turning" and not enough people realize that, he yelled at moon because he did not want her to see him the way he saw her, he was willing to sacrifice his life, just so that his brother could have a normal life again, and his unique love of scavengers is awesome, he seriously threatened to hurt a dragon just to save Bandit. Winter may not be the favorite character for everybody, but he sure is one of my favorites.
