Jasmine “Jazz” Bashara, 26, has grown-up on the Earth's moon city of Artemis. She's an intellectual genius but anti-establishment, often referred to as wasting her potential. Jazz works in transport, pick-up and delivery with a little smuggling on the side. She has a flexible moral code but keeps her word. She says she has out grown her rash youth, but it is hard to tell that from her actions. When a deal goes sour she discovers an underlying plot and gets even more reckless. I could not warm to Jazz even though the action parts of the story moved it along quickly. Not as good as The Martian.
