From Friday 25th January 2019 at 12.01am (in your local time zone) you start keeping track of how many pages you read until Sunday 27th January at 11.59pm. In the January 2019 Read-a-thon thread you will post your progress, telling everyone what you're reading and how many pages. Then all readers' totals will be tallied throughout the week to reach the goal of 10,000 pages. This is a relaxed read-a-thon; it doesn't matter if you read 20 pages or 100, it also doesn't matter if we reach our goal, it's just having fun doing what you would normally be doing anyway:) Once the January Read-a-thon thread is posted, make sure to put your name on the thread if you would like to be included. If you simply stumble onto the thread, then please, join in!

*An easy way to keep track is using the Currently Reading feature on Goodreads, entering your page number at the end of each day. **For those who read by eReader, take the page number which shows for paperback/hardcover here on Goodreads for your total. Calculate by percentage to work out your page number read.

***For audio listeners, check out how many pages the book has on Goodreads, then divide that number by how many CDs or hours it is to give you an idea of pages per time. Don't forget to post your totals of daily or full weekend tally on the thread.

Please take into account that I may not be able to put your names into the list until the weekend. If I haven't put your name on, please consider that once you post, you are taking part in the readathon.

I'm in Alannah!
And these are the pages I've read:
Wilkie Collins The Black Robe pag 107
Eshkol Nevo La simmetria dei desideri pag 40
Anne Enright The Gathering pag 130
Christopher Isherwood Un uomo solo pag 50
Farjeon Jefferson Gli omicidi della "Z"   pag 144
Tot 571

Not bad for a week end where I've had to go to a funeral 250 km aways from home and where we've also had some things related to the Holocaust Memorial Day. Friday afternoon, at my reading club a reading of pages from Primo Levi Se questo è un uomo, Anne Frank Diario and Lia Levi Una valle piena di stelle. Yesterday I've gone with my husband to see The Man with the Iron Heart, about the life - and death - of Reinhard Heydrich, the main theoretical responsible of the Holocaus - see also the Wannsee Conference.
Not to be forgotten. Never

Suki St Charles (goodreadscomsuki_stcharles) | 18 comments I'm late posting this, but I'd love to give it a go:

Friday 1/25: The Postman Always Rings Twice by James M Cain
Started and finished: total 116 pages

Saturday 1/26: Serge Storms #1: Florida Roadkill by Tim Dorsey
Started: read 140 pages

Sunday 1/27: Serge Storms #1: Florida Roadkill
Finished: read 133 pages

Well, I started the weekend with no plans and a stack of books by my side. Late Saturday morning, we had a small-but-extremely-time-consuming household emergency, and all my grand reading plans came to nothing. I did manage to finish two books:

Grand page total from Friday to Sunday: 116 + 140 + 133 = 389.
