Revisiting this challenge for 2019, since apparently the last time I touched it was May 2015. Jeez.

Updates and changes -
1) I've removed completed/ditched series so the list is up to date on what I'm still interested in reading.
2) I'm incorporating my Owned TBR challenge in with this, and listing only the books that I already have from each series. I will count a series as "Owned Complete" and apply 25 points as a bonus when all of the books I own of the series are read.
3) If I buy/add an additional book in a series in any format (ebook, audio, DTB), EVEN IF IT IS FREE, I will lose 50 points (because I'm trying NOT to buy/add new books). This does not apply to library books or loans. If it stays in my collection, it counts.
4) Changing the scoring for new series starts:
a] IF I have completed a series, I can start a new one with no penalty
b] IF I have NOT completed a series that a new start is replacing, then I lose 20 points.

Scoring:
+10 points for reading a book off of the In Progress list.
+25 points for reading all of the owned books I have from a series
+50 points for finishing all published works in a series
-50 points for buying or adding a series book to my collection
-20 points for starting a new series without finishing a series first.

I had no idea that Golem and the Jinni wasn't a standalone. That may change its place in my priority list. :|

Well... it has a planned sequel, so it's not TECHNICALLY a series yet. The sequel is supposed to release in 2021.

I'll consider it, since I give myself minor props for catching up with "a series to date," although it's questionable when that means reading one book.

Thanks for reminding me this challenge exists, by the way! I'll start a personal thread in the folder, since making better progress on series I've started is something I've been wanting to do for a while, and haven't had much incentive to actually do.

No kidding. You and me both. I realized like 4 minutes ago that I stopped tracking my SFFBC challenges right around a week into the new year, so... I'm killing it, obviously.
