Andie (thebookheap) | 208 comments A letter arrives from Mr Collins, further hinting that a proposal from Darcy is imminent. Mr Bennet scoffs at the letter, not believing it for a second.

Mr Bennet is surprised because “Mr Darcy, who never looks at any woman but to see a blemish, and who probably never looked at you in your life!” Charming!!

And this chapter summary is very half hearted because I KNOW WHAT IS COMING NEXT OH HO!

Alicia (A Kernel of Nonsense) (akernelofnonsense) | 54 comments I like Mr. Bennet' declaration, "For what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbours, and laugh at them in turn?" Mr. Bennet and Elizabeth's relationship reminds me of my relationship with my father. We have a similar sense of humor and laugh when things are silly. We are often misunderstood by my mother.

Andie (thebookheap) | 208 comments I swear to god, that sentence could be my mother's motto in life. Such a curtain twitcher!

Alicia (A Kernel of Nonsense) (akernelofnonsense) | 54 comments Haha. I think all mothers are a little nosy, some more than others.
