Witchy Fiction discussion

Pg 21 (in my book). "...I must adjust and adapt and present myself with a more...acceptable face to the outside world."

I'd imagine that with a long life like Elizabeth's, you have to "reinvent" yourself many times over. But I think we do it all the time in our normal, not fictional or exceptional lives too. In your life, what ways and places have you found yourself adjusting and adapting to be more "presentable" to the world?
