description

Shortly after Lady Catherine let Lizzie know exactly what she thought of her, Darcy arrives to visit the Bingleys at Netherfield Park a few days after. (To visit Bingley...right.)

They arrive to visit the Bennets, and Bingley immediately suggests they go walking rather than be subjected to Mrs Bennet and her rants...So Bingley, Jane, Darcy, Lizzie and Kitty all go for a walk together. Bingley and Jane went ahead, while the other three lag behind, and Kitty decides to stop in at the Lucases and call on Charlotte's sister Maria- leaving Darcy and Lizzie to talk.

description

Lizzie tells Darcy she has been waiting ages to thank him properly for his help with Lydia's situation. Darcy says that he is sorry that it has weighed on her mind so much, and he wishes her aunt had kept her mouth shut.

“If you will thank me, let it be for yourself alone. That the wish of giving happiness to you, might add force to the other inducements which led me on, I shall not attempt to deny. But your family owe me nothing. Much as I respect them, I believe, I thought only of you....My affections and wishes are unchanged, but one word from you will silence me on this subject for ever”

Can this chapter just be an award ceremony for Darcy and his speeches because the rest of the chapter is pretty much just...yes. Perfect. Good.

:3 Very Dizzie Happy!

Alicia (A Kernel of Nonsense) (akernelofnonsense) | 54 comments I can't decide which line gives me the feels more: 'I thought only of you' or 'dearest, loveliest Elizabeth!'

I think what I love best about Elizabeth and Darcy's relationship is how well they compliment and balance each other out.

I too am dizzy with Dizzy feels
