Can anyone recommend a truly GREAT mystery suspense novel? I've read so many in the past year that have rave reviews, but are really terrible. It's so hard to find a truly great read. I am NOT interested in lust or serial killers, and I prefer a female perspective.
You guys should read “Mind the Gap” by Abigail Mansfield. It’s a mystery but very different, interesting, deals with all sort of issues and shenanigans. A little dark but ends on a high note. If you like a little off the wall, or are looking for something completely different, you’ll get this book. Just don’t give up on it, read it all the through. It just might be brilliant.
Just finished But She Is My Student by Kiki Archer. Lesbian teacher-student tension. I quite enjoyed the story, but the writing was poor.
I finished Wolf Hall. I also read The Chance Meeting: because I am acquainted with the author on another site. I’ve just started The Mueller Report.
I’m reading Nicholas Dane about a 14 yo suddenly finding.himself in an orphan’s home In Manchester UK. By Melvin Burgess
I'm about to start The Medici Boy by John L'Heureux, about the Italian Renaissance sculptor Donatello, best known for his David.
Women Invent the Future: A Science Fiction Anthology by Madeline Ashby, Anne Charnock, Molly Flatt, Cassandra Khaw, Becky Chambers, Liz Williams, Walidah Imarisha.
Just finished The Turbulent Term of Tyke Tiler by Gene Kemp. Now on Jesus Lied - He Was Only Human: Debunking the New Testament by C.J. Werleman.
Reading: All This I Will Give To You by Dolores Redondo. A mystery and turning out to be a great summer read.
