October 2014 Nominations
Elaine wrote: "tap on the window"Hi Elaine,
That book was already nominated. Is there another book you'd like to nominate instead?
Thanks
Chava

- one I have been wanting to try."I second your nomination - it is sitting in my TBR list as well.
Kirsten wrote: "I've never read Mo Hayder. Is she/he as good as the reputation?"She, and I have never read her either....
Ooohh, @Matt! Are you a fellow Reginald Hill fan? I just LOVE Dalziel & Pascoe! Dialogues of the Dead is one of the best. The follow-up book Death's Jest-Book is terrific too! Have you read it?
Dalzeil and Pascoe fan I am. The Fat Man is a One of a kind character. And Reginald Hill was not only prolific, but masterful with the genre.
But mainly, I can't get enough of the Yorkshire slang. "Summat" gets me every time the Fat Man uses it.
Okay, let the voting begin!!You get 2 (TWO) votes for 2 different books. I will count the votes on the 29th of September.
The amazing books to vote for are:
Laidlaw - Athena
The Good Girl - Donald
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - Farhana
First Night of Summer - Stephanie
A Tap on the Window - Mary
Roosevelt's Beast - Kirsten
The Art Forger - Karen
Birdman - Chava
Wrongful Death - Maxine
Caught - Carmen
A Walk Among the Tombstones - Jenny
Dialogues of the Dead - Matt
private message me if you have any questions
Dialogues of the Dead & Birdman.I've read Birdman twice already, but it's so good I have to vote for it.
Kirsten wrote: "I've never read Mo Hayder. Is she/he as good as the reputation?"I've read several of her books and think they are really good.
Jennifer wrote: "I vote for The Art Forger"Hi Jennifer,
You get 2 votes, so where would you like your second vote to go to?

I agree, I've read all in this series. Some are better than others, but I always look forward to the next installment. They are rather gritty and at times a bit gruesome, but I like that :)
I vote for The Art Forger and The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time.

3) Strictly NO SELF NOMINATIONS. I will remove those when I notice them.
We will keep the nominations going until Sunday the 14th of September. Then we'll vote the old fashioned way: 2 votes each to be counted by the 29th of September. Okay that's the plan, let's hope nothing happens in between that messes up the plan :)
Happy reading all
