Christian Goodreaders discussion

I noticed the Kindle edition of Diarmaid MacCulloch's book A History of Christianity at a bargain price of £1.99 on Amazon UK and thought I would recommend it to the group. At this price, it's definitely worth having. It formed the basis of a BBC TV series a few years ago and the book is a fascinating and masterly overview.

However, I then noticed that the book either doesn't have a Kindle edition on Amazon.com or the fiendishly clever Amazon decided not to show it to me in the UK. The book is marketed in the USA under a slightly different title. I am always directed to Amazon UK when I try to buy a Kindle book from Amazon.com. I have no idea whether a US Kindle edition exists and whether it is discounted in the USA. If not, I suspect Amazon won't let a US buyer buy the Kindle book on Amazon UK. Worth a look, though.

Apparently, the American title is Christianity: The First Three Thousand Years and the Kindle price is $13.99.

Yes, I'd seen the slightly different title, but the Kindle version wasn't shown for me. Anyway, no bargain in the US.
