Being on Social Security and with limited funds (only get 1 check a month) I totally understand what you are saying. If it was me I would buy it since I had a little extra. And the plus is I wouldn't be using all of my cash anyway. I'd still have a little left over.
Thanks Brenda. I am the same for I am disabled. I only volunteer at my local pregnancy center but I help someone out once a week around their house and they usually give me a little bit of spending money. That I guess is why I am so uncertain but you know you make a good point too.
What series is it, Janine? If I have the book, and I have already read it, I'll send it to you. I have a box of books, I have read, will probably just take them to the library. Once I read a book, unless it's really, really special- I'll keep it, otherwise, I give them away. Do you read Amish books, I have a whole lot of them, that I am done reading with.
Janie I love Amish and historical's. Well since you asked, the book is a historical one called Loving Liza Jane by Sharlene MacLaren. It is the first book of "The Little Hickman" series.
Oh, sorry, I don't have that one. What Amish books do you not have or would like to read? Give me a list, and I'll let you know if I have them, and I wouldn't mind sending them to you! I have some Historicals, also. I'll make a list of what I have, and send it to you, and see which ones you would like, if that's ok with you?
Asking me if I would be willing to take books off someone hands is like asking me if I want some chocolate (my other bad habit). Of course I would love some but honestly I wouldn't even know where to start, other than I really don't own any paper back books for really can't afford them too much, and when I do have a little money for books I go with Kindle since they are cheaper that way. I could PM you my address and you surprise me with whatever. And I would be happy to try and help with the cost of shipping too.
Ok, well, I'll pick some from the piles I've read, and surprise you. But please do not help out with the shipping, I got it. I am just happy to get rid of them to make space in the closet for the others that I finish reading, lol, and I am happy to give them to someone who appreciates them and enjoys reading them!
Thank you so much then Janie. I will pm you my address then. Oh I do ask that they are not in first person, otherwise I will just donate them to the library for their book sale. I don't mean to sound picky or demanding but I would hate to waste a good book on me because it is written in first person.
Ask your library if they are signed up with the WorldCat program. Our local libraries are and it's wonderful. In a nutshell, it connects them with other libraries around the world, and they can loan books to each other. If your library isn't signed up but they might be interested, I'm sure my local library would be happy to help walk them through it. I can message you with the manager's number, she is really sweet. They've gotten books for me as far away as Oregon that were older books that our local libraries didn't have. Talk to them and see if they would be interested and I can message you the phone number to give to them.

Kim I am not sure exactly what they belong to but I do know that they do belong to something that allows them books from out of state. There is also a local state wide inter-library program, which I couldn't find the book on that system. To go to the national system, that could take too long to get the book. Guess I am not a patient person, I can wait for the state wide Mobius (and for some reason I always add an r LOL) most times for it only takes an extra week for me to get it :D

What would you do? Help me decide one way or the other for I am so on the fence at the moment LOL.
Now you may laugh at me for being so strange.
