I've rejoined the read-along to re-familiarize myself with the Spotted Custard crew before the Reticence release! I'm already over 100 pages in and, is it just me or is this book just one big collection of delightful quotes? It's even better than I remember, and I remember it being my favorite Custard Protocol book - such fun! <3

I’ve enjoyed rereading Competence so much. I do so love being inside Percy’s head!

Okay who else can't help but snicker every time they read "pishtacos"? Such a fun word to even just think to oneself.

And apparently (although I'm sure Gail has already mentioned it somewhere and I've failed to remember) they are an actual thing, most intriguing! Trust Gail to seamlessly utilize a real mythological monster. (They even mention this book in the link! Gotta love Wikipedia. ;)

I really want a YA series about The Adventures of Virgil and Spoo...it would translate well to a graphic novel

Also I’d love to learn more about Rodrigo’s father.
