The available monsters are as follows.

Vampires

These are fairly obvious. All vampires have retractable fangs, humanoid appearances, enhanced strength, speed, hearing and sight.

They are vulnerable to silver, elm wood and are weakened in the sunlight. They do not burn and can see themselves in the mirror. A human can become a vampire via a bite, something many humans choose to do.

Werewolves

Likewise with the vampires. However, they do not turn into actual wolves - but humanoid, wolf-like creatures. They turn on the full moon without question and have enhanced strength, speed, hearing and sight.

They are vulnerable to all metals, namely silver, and cannot shift during any other time of the month. If a human is bitten by one on the full moon, they will be doomed to have the same destiny.

Shapeshifters

Unlike werewolves, they can shift at any time into a full fledged animal. They can only shift into a single animal, determined when they are born by chance. Apart from their ability to shift into an animal, they are no stronger than humans.

Shapeshifters are born shapeshifters. You cannot become one. If you shift into a lion, you can be a fighter, if it's something like a bird, then that has its own benefits...

Siren - Rare

Usually almost always a woman. She is for all intents and purposes human. Until she sings. Using her voice, she can enchant people into doing as she wishes, often using them to commit awful tasks.

She is extremely beautiful and seductive. They are born, not created.

Witch/Warlock - Powerful ones are rare

They cannot use elemental magic, but are catered more for ritualistic magic, spoken spells and curses. A witch or warlock may also have the powers of a Seer or a Healer should they be so inclined.

All witches and warlocks specialize in a particular area - not all of them. Born, not created.

Demons - Extremely rare

Monsters from Hell. They can often take the form of a human but their real appearance is much more sinister. They are a savage, beast-like race unbound by trivial things like pride and honour. They are wielders of fire and death, and are by far the most malevolent and cunning of monsters.

Perhaps the most disturbing thing is that these creatures used to be human once upon a time. In order for a human to become a demon they would have to first die, go to Hell, and reemerge as an agent of Lucifer.

Sub-forms of Demon:

~Kitsune:
Fox demons of an oriental origin. These nimble, usually small creatures are weaker than humans physically, but their powers are eternally malevolent. They will do anything to see chaos, and be careful, they may just manipulate you along the way.

Note: Kitsune can not have their tails and ears out alone. They are either in human form, or fox form. Their eyes however can flicker between normal and feline, but that is all. In addition, a Kitsune can have up to 9 tails but no more. They are born, not created.

~ Fallen Angels:
Once celestial angels residing in Heaven, these are beings who fell from grace, and thus were thrown from the skies, their white wings burning black. Fallen Angels have unfathomable beauty, but they cannot retract their wings, and they are too big to hide. So there is no hope for disguise. Masters of seduction and temptation, they use their former angelic charm to get what they want.

Fallen Angels have no magical powers. They can fly and have extreme strength and speed. They also have decent healing abilty. Like demons, Fallen Angels would first have to die and go to Heaven, before falling to Earth.
