I've already read it and it is a fantastic series. I don't have time for a reread but would like to join in with the discussion.
This is my first time. My husband is a huge Sanderson fan and has read everything written by him. I know he will be excited to have me read this also
Just downloaded it on Audible. It's currently on sale for only $5 with member pricing. I'm excited to "read" it!
I got the Audible book too! Since it will be a reread for me, I thought it’d be nice to approach it in a different format.
Reread for me after finishing the series last year. I personally loved the "bad metaphors" quirk of the MC.
I’ve only just read the prologue and chapter 1. I forgot just how good the opening to this book is. :)

ok I actually started reading this just now. Just finished the prologue. It sure hooks you in right away! (view spoiler)
I love the line that says something like: she could make a blind priest turn his head, if he weren’t blind. Ok bad metaphor I’m not good with metaphors.I was listening and literally laughed out loud while I was driving. ;)

:) The bad metaphors are a running gag through the whole series. And there just delightful in their own special way.
Diane, you have me wanting to do it audiobook style!! LolI've read the whole trilogy twice I believe. I have my friend's Audible account so I can listen to Steelheart on there :) Excited to give it a shot in this format.
Honestly I am inexperienced with audio books and really have only been consistently doing it since summer started. That being said I’ve listened to some and it was a bit of a struggle, I’ve listened to some and would have given up had I not known the story and loved it already. Some were ok and some good. This is the best for me so far! I get a great visual from listening as I do with reading. I am not distracted or letting my mind wander. I would recommend trying the audio version for sure.
I’m about halfway through. It is my second read, but I read it long enough ago that I only remember the plot in broad strokes, so I’m still pleasant surprised. Plus I know where some of terms end up in the overall trilogy, so it makes for a great reread to notice how the ultimate ending is foreshadowed in this first book. Particularly, EVERYTHING Megan says or does. The book definitely is worth a re read. I agree Dianne; the audio IS very good. It captures the narrater’s geekiness and humor perfectly.
This is my second read but I'm listening to the audiobook this time and I agree, it's great. I didn't read it that long ago so it's still pretty fresh in my mind but I am really enjoying it anyway. I love the world, characters, ideas, everything really. Might be bumped up to a 5 star after this like the rest of the series. Not sure why I gave it 4 originally. I love Megan, she is so cool. I also love the action sequences in this book which is funny really since I normally zone out a bit in action parts.
I just finished this and am so glad it was our choice for a group read! I am going on to the next book now.

I just finished. the first book I have reread and I loved it again. thinking of rereading (listening) to the others now.
I am now Listening to
I really like listening to this series and am so glad Steelheart was our group read for this month.
This really was a great reread. The quality acting in the audio book definitely added to the reading. I really do feel warm and fuzzy inside. Great choice! I want to listen to the next books in the series, but I don’t want to pay full price for the books, so I’ll probably wait to acquire them.
Also, check with your local libraries. At mine you can "borrow" audiobooks through the online app Overdrive.

Is this your first time reading it or is it a reread?
Don’t forget to use spoiler tags for major plot points. And happy reading :)
