It was an enjoyable read. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. This is not a complaint but it seemed like the author was obsessed with blowing heads off. I am happy to recommend this book.

I enjoyed it too, it was a great read. I tend to agree with you on head shots too. A lot of skulls get ventilated. I've read all of the follow up books and I can tell you a few more skulls get taken out in them as well. So... enjoy!
It wasn't the most "realistic", political thriller series I've read. But for sheer fun, games and killing, Coes succeeded on all fronts. His writing style is a bit like what would happen if Hemmingway had been forced to write a political thriller. I found it strangely captivating and it hooked me to buy the next three books in spite of myself.
