Feel free to discuss the many adaptations of Beauty and the Beast here.

I don't know if anyone's read Beastly by Alex Flinn, but it's a retelling. I haven't read it or seen the movie, but I heard the movie was pretty terrible.

I feel like there is a notable lack of Beauty and the Beast retellings because of the Stockholm Syndrome thing.

There have been more recently, though. I haven't seen the new TV show called Beauty and the Beast, so I don't know if it's a retelling or not.

I do know that Disney wanted to do a live action Beauty and the Beast movie a while ago with Anne Hathaway. I don't know if they will again, but maybe they will if the live action Cinderella is successful.
