Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 2996 comments Pre-pre-prepping for October's Dewey's 24-Hour Readathon October 26-27!
I am also posting on the Goodreads group (For the Blogless thread) and Instagram @weezielemoo

As per my usual tradition, I will solely be reading Stephen King (and family) during the whole month of October and this includes Dewey's! I have no TBR as yet but I do know that I will be trying to read Wizard and Glass during the month. It seems I can only handle one Dark Tower book a year. lol.

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 2996 comments It looks like some version of this will be my final TBR:

The Institute physical own CURRENTLY READING On page 250, I do not think I will finish by Saturday but it will be my first read!
Night Shift physical own. 326 pgs
The Dark Tower: Fall of Gilead physical own. 208 pgs
The Dark Tower: Battle of Jericho Hill physical own. 144 pgs
Creepshow physical own. 66 pgs
Duma Key physical own. I would like to at least start this. 611 pgs

And I might throw in other non-King graphic novels since they are enjoyable to read in a big stack!

I have run out of King/Hill audiobooks since I don't want to overlap my physicals with audiobooks so I've chosen a spooky/funny series to listen to:
Bunnicula (audio) 98 pgs
Howliday Inn (audio) 195 pgs
The Celery Stalks at Midnight (audio) 144 pgs
Nighty-Nightmare (audio) 122 pgs
Return to Howliday Inn (audio) 116 pgs
Bunnicula Strikes Again! (audio) 116 pgs
Bunnicula Meets Edgar Allan Crow (audio) 160 pgs

Comments:
Another block of no listening. A little late for check-in but I wanted to finish The Fall of Gilead first. Nowwww I'm pretty tired. Definitely thinking of popping an audiobook in and seeing how far I get. Though I usually get a little revived when I take my contacts out and snuggle in bed. I may have another hour in me. But anyway, I will be back for the end, not sure whether it will be for the last hour or more than that! Good night!

Comments:
I read one more book then succumbed to sleep. I sort of remember turning off my alarm at 5am. lol. But I did wake up at 7am and continued reading for the last hour. And then continued reading after that until I finished The Institute! Yay! I did not listen to another audiobook.

Six-Word Story Mini Challenge http://estellasrevenge.net/deweys-rea...
And then the book was done.

Closing Survey
How would you assess your reading overall? Pretty good! I like to hit 1000 pages and with my audiobook pages, technically I did!
Did you have a strategy, and if so, did you stick to it? I mean, isn't everyone's strategy to read as much as possible and stay awake 24 hours? lol. I will never stay awake 24 hours but I did read as much as I could.
What was your favorite snack? Peanut M&Ms and Gummy Bears! teehee
Wanna volunteer for our next event? Might do an Hourly Discussion again!
