ok so wat is this book about? everyone says how good it is, but everytime i pick it up, I decide to read something else. should i really read it?
I would read it Alicia. I really liked it. I wouldn't say I'm crazy obsessed or anything, but I couldn't put it down when I was reading it. I hear Catching Fire is even better (don't read about it unless you are done with Hunger Games, it will spoil it for you). I ordered Catching Fire, but I'm not reading it for a couple weeks. Can't wait though!
Alica, it's about a girl who sacrafices herself to save her sister then instead of dying she goes through a lot of things and ends up winning the compition. It has a lot of action but it's also a romanes book.

I'm done with the book, Jeez it has such a huge cliff hanger!!!Now I can't wait for the 3rd book! It better not have a cliff hanger since it's the last book!

I was so obessed with this book that I finished it less than two days. One of the best books that I have read in a long time. Finished Catching Fire about 4 days ago.
Good to know I wasn't the only one. Hate to admit that I cried in a about two or three scenes of both books. I can be realy emotional.
I know that I will eventually read them again eventhough I just finished them both not even a week ago.
Has anyone read Battle Royale? It's about a group of students taken to an island and each given a weapon. They are told to fight to the death and that only one will survive. It's ultra violent but sooo good. I heard about the Hunger Games and I'm curious if it's a YA version of Battle Royale? I want to read (and looking forward to) it since it's highly recommended just about everywhere, but I don't want it to feel like a plagiarism of the classic. Anyway, if you aren't opposed to violence you should check out Battle Royale too.

Originally yes, but it was recently translated into english. It was a novel first and later a movie and a series of comics. I've only read the book.
Yes, it's really good! It's one of my favorites. I haven't read The Hunger Games but it sounds like that book was based off of Battle Royale. It has a lot of violence and gore though. The story is excellent!! Each person is given a different weapon (sword/baseball bat/gun/rifle/etc.). The students, even though there is a whopping 50 when starting, are each so unique and memorable with a background story. It's tragic when you get to know a character so well and they are killed off so ruthlessly. I highly recommend it if you want to read an adult version of The Hunger Games!
The Hunger Games is sooo good! I like it better, but what's the third book!? i don't know and now i'm pissed bcuz i cant find it! *angry face*
OMG only one month to go before the 3rd book comes out Mockingjay. It comes out August 24th. Can't wait for it to come out. I am definitely going to buy it the day it comes out. Will most likely finish it that day. I'm so excited :)
How long will it take for you to get it? Do they ship it the day it comes out or will they ship it early so that you will get it the day it comes out or will you get it b4 it comes out?

Hi guys i just finished reading it last night, and i still had to go back to reread the last couple of pages bcuz i was still kinda well speechless. It kept me reading bcuz i wanted to know who she ended with. Im a peeta fan but the way that it happend was well i actually felt bad about how things kinda ended dont get me wrong im extatic that she ended with peeta and they have kids but it felt wrong how Gale was not even an option after her sister thing, then he dosent even try to win her he just abandons her after giving her the sling to keep her arrow, i mean not even a goodbye or anything and all we know is he;s now in district 2, and the mom just writes her a letter thats it!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT GET ME WRONG i love how her and Peeta eventually grew back together and that he satisfied the hunger she knew gale wouldnt be able to but still it was well i have no words to explain. Then the epiloge that peeta wanted kids bad and it took what 15 years and that the kids will learn that their parents were in the hunger games. Oh and that they wrote a book about everything that happened to them............. I dont know what to think im glad about her life with peeta but they only what mentioned 2pages of them finally together, i DONT know what to say.
Anyone what to talk about it with me i could totally want to hear what you all thought cuz im still kinda "What thats it, everything they went through"
*spoiler warning* I loved them all but I like most people I was utterly angry at the ending I had to convince myself it wasn't real and put my own alternative ending in. in mine prim and finnick make it so does bogs i liked him.
