Describe Augustus. What have we learned about him? What does he think about Hazel Grace?

Augustus he's nice with Hazel Grace. Augustus used to have bone cancer and now he has a fake leg. I think Augustus wants to be best friends with Hazel Grace.

This comment is from a small group of my students who are reading the book together.

Augustus is charming. He's trying to be really nice with Hazel, so that they will be friends with each other. Gus thinks Hazel is pretty and he's starting to care about her. He's kind of a trickster. For example, his metaphor with the cigarette.

Augustus is independent, tall with blue eyes, handsome, attracted, and attracted to Hazel. He had a bone cancer which unable him to walk so his leg was replaced with a fake leg. The cigarette he put's in his mouth is a metaphor for overcoming cancer again or death.

Augustus met Hazel Grace at a very special group with people who have problems with their life's. He is a very good friend to Hazel Grace. I think he likes her is because she reminds him so much of his late girlfriend who has passed away from cancer. He admits he is in love with Hazel Grace too.

Aanii Joel.P ndizhnikaas, Augustus is a 17yr old teen who has a history of cancer & friends of cancer. Augustus had bone cancer in his leg which caused the removal of his leg! And is now falling for a girl named "Hazel Grace" who he met at support group, I think Augustus is falling in love with her so fast is because she kind of relates to his past girlfriend who past away from cancer, plus he and Hazel share common interests such as Peter Van Houten who wrote the book "An imperial infliction"

Augustus Waters is a kind person who is caring and giving.Gus or Augustus wants people to like him.That is why he is polite and not shy.He goes to support group along with Hazel every week.Gus had cancer,so now he has a fake leg.But he's fine with it.Also,Gus played basketball and was really great at it.A very good friend of Hazel Grace but,is attracted to her.

I agree with your points towards Augustus.He is a very responsible character and caring person to Hazel.And I find it interesting how they met each other.. Thank you for your post.

Augustus Waters is a 17 yrs old teenage boy. He had cancer and also has friends that have cancer. Augustus had bone cancer in his leg which caused the removal of his leg. Augustus meet a girl in suport group,and her name is 'Hazel Grace' and he is falling in love with her. He is a caring person for Hazel and is helping her to get to Amsterdam to Peter Van Hounten with is wish.

Augustus he's really nice to Hazel Grace. Augustus wants to be best friends with Hazel Grace. I really like this book it's a good book to read. It gets me interested. I really want to know about the end of the book and see what happens at the end of the book.

Augustus is very sweet and cool and he is in love with Hazel Grace and they visited Peter Van Houten but he is not nice at all.

Augustus is one of the strongest characters because when they go to visit Peter Van Houten he talks back to him and tells him how bad he is treating them and also when Hazel doesn't want to go and talk to author he talks her into going and talking to him. Hazel really wants to know what happens to all the characters at the end of the story and she try's really hard to let Peter Van Hounten let all the information out of the story and ones she know what has happen to them she is finally happy to know everything about the characters.

Augustus had bone cancer before and so one of his legs had been removed by a fake leg. And he is really nice to Hazel Grace because he is in love with her.

Augustus waters is a survivor of cancer.(so far) And wants to be memorable on this planet for the person he was/is. He uses a cigarette as a metaphor by showing he has overcomes death! and by showing cancer wont get the best of him. Since the only way you can get cancer by cigarette's is by smoking them. Augustus Waters is charming, handsome young man, he's attractive and attracted to Hazel Grace! They share common interest's and hobby's they both also had cancer.

Augustus Waters is 17 years old and has cancer in his leg from bone cancer so he had to get a some of his leg removed. He used to play basket ball when he did not have cancer,he got's a whole wall full of meddles and trophies in his basement.Augustus is very thoughtful,kind,giving,caring,polite,nice and likable. Augustus wants to be memorable while he is still alive he wants to be the change in peoples lives showing cancer wont get the best of him. Augustus is a survivor!

Augustus is a cancer survivor and has one good leg. He first met Hazel Grace at a support group with his best friend Isaac, they met through Isaac. He got into book that Hazel has led him An Imperial Affliction. Him and Hazel has fallen in love, Gus has let Hazel have his wish and they to Amsterdam to meet Peter Van Houten. Hazel thinks Gus is handsome.

I agree! Augustus has been through so much, and goes strong until the very end. Although Gus is a really forward person, he has a romantic and Tough side of him.

I agree that Augustus. To me i think Gus is probably one of the sweetest guys and a gentleman to Hazel.
