I haven’t been able to get a copy of this. I currently have around 200 books on the shelf waiting to be read so have declared a moratorium on buying any more so if it’s not in the library it’s a no go!
That is a shame Penny. It is quite old, so some libraries who had copies at the time may have got rid of them since.

I have it on Kindle, but am not likely to get to it anytime soon :(
I am running behind... I am going to start this today. I got a normal print copy from my library, but it is due in 4 days and can't be renewed. (I've had it checked out for a couple of weeks but am only getting to it now)
I am almost halfway thru Larry's Party and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised at how much I am liking it. Reading the description of it (paraphrasing) as a day in the life of an everyman, I was prepared for some boring introspective tedium, but it is actually entertaining with a nice touch of humor. And the chapter I just finished was titled "Larry's Penis" which had a whole paragraph with euphemisms and nicknames for penises. So there's that! :)
Just wanted to come back and say that I ended up enjoying Larry's Party and gave it 4 stars. I was expecting to be underwhelmed for some reason so it was a pleasant surprise!

It won the prize in 1998.
