I enjoyed THE MARTIAN by Andy Weir, but I thought Beth Revis did an amazing job with ACROSS THE UNIVERSE ... the whole multi-generational spaceship and waking up too early from your cryo-freeze, not to mention "the season" ... it was quite a kickoff to a fascinating series.
