I have to say that Thanksgiving is a favorite holiday. That's probably because I like my family, so a holiday dedicated to getting together with people I love and being grateful while we eat a mountain of delicious food seems pretty good to me!
Around Thanksgiving, you can always count on the stores trying to one-up one another with their Black Friday deals.

Good for you, Rebecca! However, not everyone is so lucky.

ANOTHER GENTLE HC REMINDER: Thanksgiving is generally too busy, so prep for dealing with those Black Friday shopping crowds today.

Yup. Dinner tonight was "find what you want in the fridge and heat it up!" My fave.

relatives wheedling a free meal...er...Okay, let's just call it a major holiday.
The good news is that we have at least one day a year when we are expected to AVOID counting calories.
NOTE: If you hear an angelic chorus singing in the background, just ignore it. Everyone expecting double helpings of pie hears that.
The bad news, of course, is that we have some evidence that this year's turkeys are not going down without a fight.
And you'll still have to break up the political argument between your dad and your Great-uncle Barney.
And stop the kids from playing with their food.
STILL...
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ONE AND ALL!
