Marie touched each book with her small hand, she watched out the window. She grabbed a book form the way bottom and started reading. She looks around, and then opens the book to the first page.
Claire stepped inside the library. She was told to come here by her newfound friend, and in a word, she was amazed. She walked inside, gazing at all books. "Thousands upon thousands.... This is incredible." She murmured, not looking where she was walking.
Albany sat in a small chair, curled up with a book in her hand. To be honest though, she was doing much reading. Her attention kept being drawn to little things in the large room.
Clarisse sighed in pure amazement. "I must be in heaven." She said softly, walking up the stairs and gawking at everything.
Albany looked up at the sound of a voice. She studied the girl for a second, "Possibly, or maybe you're in largest library you have ever seen." She said out loud. Her blue eyes looked back at her book then at the girl.
Claire jumped and looked at the girl. "Yes, it is simply remarkable." She answered.
Albany smiled softly, "I'm Albany by the way. Who are..." A large globe caught the girl's line of vision, "Wow" She mumbled before racing towards it. Albany smiled widely, "This thing is huge!" She said happily.
Claire laughed lightly. "Clarrise. Claire to most."
Albany looked at the girl and smiled, "Nice to meet you Claire." She said. She looked back at the globe, "Where are you from?" She asked.
"Paris." She answered. "Ive been here in England for a while though."
Albany nodded, "That's cool." She said with a nod, "I'm from Ireland." She said with a small shrug.
"Ireland... Mm!" Claire nodded. "It seems like an interesting place."
"It is. I mean it doesn't have any snakes." Albany said with a small laugh.
"How does it not have snakes?" She asked, curious.
Albany bit her lip in thought, "Apparently Saint Patrick chased them off." She said. Albany started to spin the globe, "It sounds really weird now that I think of it." She said.
"Legends aren't weird. They are historical links to the past."
Albany faced the girl, her blue eyes finally being able to stay on her without being distracted, "Yeah, I guess you are right." She said softly.
Claire smiled encouragingly. "Now then. What do you like to read?"
Albany smiled once more, "I don't really have a favorite. I love all books but if I had to choose a favorite genre I would have to say mystery." She said quickly. She moved to the chair she was sitting in previously and grabbed the book, "The Sherlock Holmes series is wonderful." Albany smiled happily.
