Aiming to read 15 books in 2020. With a new addition coming early in the new year I'm not sure I'll make it but worth a try.

Congratulations, Jess! Is it a boy or a girl? (if you don't mind me asking)Mon in May 2018, and honestly, I found it surprising how much time I still had to read the first few months.... when I wasn't catching up on sleep that is :D
Best of luck with your reading challenge :) May you find some great books throughout the year.

Thank you - we've left it a surprise so we have no idea if it is a boy or girl :).
The other reason I doubt I'll have time to read is our 3 year old will now be home with me for the year I'm off...so I don't imagine a ton of time for books.
Always hoping to find some great books by chance - sending the same luck your way.
I don't know why my message got caught off like that. It was supposed to say "I became a mom in May 2018..." but whatever, you obviously understood what I meant :)Oh, how exciting! Our 18-month-old was our first and we couldn't not know at the first chance we got. Maybe next one will be a surprise :D
Aaah! yeah I get it.
Well, let me put it this way. 15 books or more is fantastic. One book is better than none. And anything in between is just the facts of life and that's totally okay too ;)
Completed 3 books in January and started a fourth. Have completed my fourth and fifth books of the year so far in February. See message two for the books I've completed so far.I've enjoyed all the books I've read so far this year. The Underground Railroad is my only 5 star book so far. Such a sad topic but superbly written. The Clockmaker's Daughter has been my least favourite so far although I still enjoyed it and gave it 3 stars. I was just expecting more from a Kate Morton book - I wasn't transported in the same way as some of her other books.
I've completed another four books for a total of nine this year. The only book that I didn't love out of these was Bellman & Black. I was so excited for the premise (especially since I find birds particularly creepy) but the book just fell a bit flat for me. I really enjoyed the other three books (all completely different reads) but A Constellation of Vital Phenomena really stood out to me. Haven't had much time for reading lately so I think my book count is probably going to slow down a bit. However, I'm excited that I've discovered so many great books and authors so far this year!
