Yay! I finished the prologue and I'm on the first chapter. Will share my thoughts when i finish it

Of course Edmure would do something this dumb 🤦‍♀️ so much for Catelyn's efforts for peace, and bringing Sansa back.. I guess Sansa has to hurry up with her escape with the knight.

I want to like Sansa. I want to overlook her mistakes (which she had made many) but she needs to prove herself.

I totally agree. Arya is the best. She has every characteristics I love about badass female characters. It is great how she acts more mature than her elder sister.

So Davos is alive! And Stannis too, it seems. I can't see what a role he has left now, but will see.
Also, love how Arya is leading the boys. Hope they stay safe.

Tyrion always gets msitreated. He's one of the most well-written characters. He's not all-bad, like his siblings, but not all-good either, he supports his family. He has this balance and I love that

I really enjoyed the supper with the Tyrells. Granny Olenna is quite a lady :p i wonder how they got the idea to marry sansa with their kid. Do they like her that much? Or think her silly enough accept the offer? (Assuming no one wants to marry a disabled person?)

I'm reading Jon's perspective but sooo excited to see what Bran's up to, next! Miss him and curious as to where they're heading now. At the end of Clash of Kings ALL the Stark siblings officially dispersed (hide spoiler)]

even though I don't like sansa that much her chapters are becoming very interesting, and she is changing...
I mean everyone are having the character development so perfectly that feels just right...

Haha, really? I liked Clash of Kings less than GoT, and found it slow, but I'm quite enjoying this one, so far.
Although I am slow in reading it, as ever 😅 I'm a slow reader in general

Chapter 10.

(view spoiler)[I didn't like the kiss Jorah and Dany. First is the age difference, I assume Jorah's age must be between 35 to 40 or more while Dany is barely 15. I like Daenerys character but can't blame her much for her reaction to the kiss. She is not really an experienced woman. I just hope Mormont don't take advantage of her. Dany is smart but she still needs to understand what she wants to do and what other wants to make her do.

I enjoyed Jon's POV. As far as I can understand the wildlings aren't evil or anything as described by the night watch. They are just people who likes freedom. It will be intersting to see how Jon will interact with them.

Davos needed to be careful while showing his anger towards Melisiandre. If he had heeded Salla's warning he wouldn't be in this messy situation. (hide spoiler)]

I'm not sure about the part of best intentions that's what he says and she believes, doesn't mean we have to believe it too...

Only time will tell whether Jorah wants to help Dany or manipulate her. I just hope it is the former.

that's exactly what is bothering me, the fact that he was selling slaves and that seemed like a fine thing back then to him, and he spied on them and that seemed fine to him, he does stupid things in the name of love and other reasons, and doesn't accept other peoples ideas, he might not want to exactly hurt her but do it and say I know what is good to u...

Also, I have a bad feeling about the Westerlings.

So do you think Robb's stupid mistake could be resolved? Will the Freys accept another marriage proposal from them now? Because they wanted to marry one of their daughters to the king, you know. To Robb

Oh I'm so glad Grenn's alive too! Also, that part where Sam musters up the strength to do something when he was so close to death, and how he accepted death and laughed at his potential fate - that he might turn into a wight, too - was powerful. In the most fearsome moment, he was fearless


Also, Arya! My girl was right all along when she thought they weren't going into Riverrun's direction. And that thrilling chase was incredible! She IS amazing at riding. Even though she got caught up anyway. She was right, being a lady trapped her. Otherwise they never would've thought her valuable enough to take captive.

Chapter 15(20%)

(view spoiler)[Someone has a crush. I liked how Yggrite lied for Jon but is it right? I mean Jon is still loyal to the Watch but she is being disloyal to her people for him. Also I want to see if Jon will break his vow by sleeping with her. I feel sad for Jon. He still doesn't know the current situation of the seven kingdoms. He thinks he can save Winterfell by stoping the wildlings while in reality Winterfell is already destroyed. I like Tormund. Even if his adventures are lies at least they are creative(very).

Robb had taken a new wife. It surely was a surprise. I don't know how to feel about the Westerlings yet. They seems fine so far. As for how Walder Frey will react? I am pretty sure it will be bad. Robb's actions will have some very huge reactions.

Arya has revealed her identity. It will be interesting to see how it will change her plans. I enjoyed her POV. I liked how she is always on alert. I just can't stop admiring her. She is just 9 and is already a warrior.

Tyrion: He is again falling for a whore. He still hasn't learnt his lesson. I liked Shae but her conversation seemed off to me. She just wanted her luxuries above everything else. I feel sorry for Tyrion. He has unrequited feelings for Shae.

which characters chapters do u mean, I just finished bran's chapter at page 330 and I have to say I don't like bran's POVs at all...
every time I finish one of his chapters I have to put the book aside and give a rest to my bored nerves...

I hated Catelyn once but in this volume I love her parts her sorrows are too vivid and I really wanted to cry for her...

(view spoiler)[ Tyrion's chapter was SO GOOD. When Tywin tells Cersei to marry it was so funny, but then he wants Tyrion to marry too! And that too to Sansa 🤢 I didn't like his reasons. He said if he sent Sansa back she could marry with other northmen or so, strengthening Robb's alliances. But no one thinks like that 😑 except him. That's a stupid reason, in my opinion. How sure is he that they'll marry Sansa there?

Anyways I hope Sansa acquires some sense, oh my God. How stupid can she be to think she'd be safer at Highgarden than her own home? But her escape was planned on the wedding date, which I'm excited for. Let's see what happens then. Margaery seems to be in denial of Prince Joffery. Poor girl, what else can she do?


Jaime! I loved this chapter so much. The fight between him and Brienne was brilliant. She DID win the tourney for Renly, you know. This is really important in terms of the development between Jaime and her, now that he acknowledges she's stronger than him, and respects her even, kinda. And how he tries to stand up for her. I see a friendship. The capture was really intense too. They made Jaime scream. I hope they don't rape Brienne. Such losers. Took 4 of them to hold her down. (hide spoiler)]

I understand what you said about Catelyn. I'm glad that she realizes her mistakes. Her chapters have bored me in the past, but she's wise- if only she'd stop with the sons nonsense. (She treated Jon badly too, when he was around).

This chapter of hers was so emotional to me. (view spoiler)[ seeing Robb struggle as a king. 'Gods be good, why would any man ever want to be king? ..now I can't even tell one from another [friends from enemies]. .. Will the Lannisters thank me for Lord Rikkard's head? Will the Freys?'

And when Catelyn was comforting Jeyne. 'Child, you have wed the north, as I did, and in the north, the winters will come.'

Bran's chapters have nothing happening since the last book, but I enjoyed the story about the knight of the laughing tree. I think it's supposed to be an allegory of some sort? It sounds familiar, like it happened and we know it...

If we're talking about boring, that's Daenery's chapters for me. I felt guilty for not liking those, but now I don't even get how she's some people's favourite. Nothing happens. They talked about the Unsullied in the last chapter? In this chapter they didn't even end up DECIDING if they'll go with them.

Her story is going so slow it's killing me

I so much understand u when u say u like starks, they are all changing so fast, even sansa and I love the uniqueness of their troubles and stories, they got so far from each other that it hurts me to think about it...
daenerys and bran are the ones I can't handle at all, I never liked daenerys and bran as u said has nothing to give, he doesn't do anything he just is as annoying as any other child who thinks he or she knows too much...
I have marked arya's chapters whit looooots of bookmarks and I can't wait to read more about her!!!!

I used to look whose perspectives the next chapters were gonna be but I realized I was being spoiled that way :p So I don't do that anymore, however tempting

it is the biggest offence, to read more than 500 pages and its not even half of the book...
but omg!!! it is getting more exciting than I can handle...

Wow, you guys have read that much. I don't know on which page I am as I am reading an ebook. I have read 23% of it so I guess I am around 250 pages. I will try to catch up with you.

I just had a boost out of no where :))) I am a fast reader, I don't know why I'm stuck in this book, I really enjoy it but I can't binge read it like book 1 and 2!!!!
