Thirty years ago, twelve year olds Eddie, Fat Gav, Hoppo, Metal Mickey and Nicky use coloured chalks to leave coded messages for each other until a killer starts leaving his own chalk messages.

Today, Eddie and his friends are no longer close but when Mickey comes back to their town with information suggesting the man they thought was the killer all those years ago might have been innocent it seems that The Chalk Man may not be finished after all.

This story is told from Eddie's point of view and it goes backwards and forwards between 1986 and 2016 following the paths of the friends and the townspeople involved in the incidents of 1986. There are an incredible number of twists and turns and it really kept me engrossed.
